Clear Vision for Safe Roads
Truck drivers often face vision-related issues that remain undiagnosed and untreated, leading to a higher risk of road accidents and compromised safety. Limited access to primary eye care services exacerbates this problem among the trucking community.
The Drishti programme, in partnership with Sightsaver India, addresses this issue by:
- Offering accessible and inclusive primary eye health services to truck drivers.
- Conducting vision screenings and providing corrective solutions such as spectacles.
- Operating from the Transport Nagar - Jindal Campus, ensuring that eye care services are available at a location convenient for truckers.
