Aakriti Centres

Stitching Dreams, Weaving Futures

Marginalised and underprivileged women in rural and semi-urban areas largely suffer from limited access to skills, resources, and opportunities, hindering their financial independence, household income contribution, as well as community upliftment.

  • Aakriti Initiative implements tailoring and embroidery training programmes across Angul, Barbil, Kasia, Tensa, Patratu, and Tamnar.
  • Empowers over 1,000 women and girls with vocational training, equipping them to start and run successful businesses.
  • Comprehensive training in tailoring and embroidery techniques.
  • Provision of resources and mentorship to set up boutique and embroidery businesses.
  • Support in creating women-led rural enterprises that sustain traditional crafts while uplifting the community.
